Sydney Festival returns this January to give the city its sizzle with an exhilarating line-up of vibrant ideas, irrepressible creativity, remarkable talent and pure summertime revelry across 25 days from 5-29 January 2023. 

Internationally renowned actor and writer Gabriel Byrne returns to Broadway in his acclaimed solo show, Walking with Ghosts, adapted from his best-selling memoir of the same name. Directed by Lonny Price, the limited engagement of Walking with Ghosts will begin previews tonight, October 18, with an official opening night of Thursday, October 27, at the Music Box Theatre.

Irish Repertory Theatre has announced the return of special audio event, Bikeman by Thomas F. Flynn, directed by Joseph Discher, produced by Robert Cuccioli, and featuring Robert Cuccioli, Stephen Eng, April Ortiz & Richard Topol. Bikeman will be available to listen to online on demand from September 8-18, 2022.

For its sixth season of production and its second season in residence at its Reginald Vaughn Theater, Invictus Theatre Company will present three plays examining the power of rhetoric to move community opinion and action, whether for good or for bad.

In 2016, after a visit from his long-time collaborator and friend, lyricist and poet Charles Anthony Silvestri, composer Eric Whitacre found a poem Silvestri had left for him sitting on his piano. Silvestri had lost his wife and soul mate to cancer 12 years previously, leaving him to bring up their two young children.

This September, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts celebrates its namesake with two projects: the opening of Art and Ideals: President John F. Kennedy—a new permanent exhibit exploring Kennedy's presidency and commitment to the arts—and a reprise of Bernstein's MASS, which premiered at the Center's opening exactly 51 years earlier. These projects cap an extraordinary year that saw the Center reopen its doors after the pandemic lockdown for a landmark 50th Anniversary season.
