Blumenthal brings the largest Broadway season yet, with more than 20 shows on tap in the 2016-2017 PNC Broadway Lights and Broadway Extras lineup.  A season filled with award-winning titles, show fans can be sure Broadway's latest and greatest are headed to Charlotte.

DeVos Performance Hall will be alive with the sounds of music in the 2016-17 BGR season. Kicking off the season is Tony Award® winning musical, Rodgers + Hammerstein's CINDERELLA, a family favorite with some new twists! Also in the season line-up will be the brand new production of THE SOUND OF MUSIC directed by three-time Tony Award® winner Jack O'Brien, marking the 50 year anniversary of the beloved musical movie. Featuring more than 40 classic hits, MOTOWN THE MUSICAL, the true American dream story of Motown founder Berry Gordy's journey from featherweight boxer to the heavyweight music mogul, will come to Grand Rapids in May of 2017. DIRTY DANCING- THE CLASSIC STORY ON STAGE will complete the season in June.

The American Symphony Orchestra and music director Leon Botstein return to Carnegie Hall for the ensemble's 55th season of concerts, the Vanguard Series, on October 19, 2016, and continue through May 12, 2017. Four programs of wide-ranging and distinct repertoire will explore notable topics, including an opera and an oratorio, in addition to orchestral works. 

The Fabulous Fox Theatre announces an extraordinary season of Tony Award-winning Best Musicals in the 2016-2017 U.S. Bank Broadway Series including FUN HOME, Fox Theatricals' own critically-acclaimed 2015 Tony Award-winning Best Musical. WASHINGTON)—Washington National Opera (WNO) today announced details for the fourth season of the American Opera Initiative, its comprehensive commissioning program that brings contemporary American stories to the stage while fostering the talents of rising American composers and librettists. Three pairings of new opera composers and librettists—Christopher Weiss and John de los Santos, David Clay Mettens and Joshua McGuire, and Sarah Hutchings and Mark Sonnenblick—will premiere new one-act operas, each based on a contemporary American story, in a semi-staged concert performance on December 2, 2015 in the Kennedy Center Terrace Theater. Composer Luna Pearl Woolf and librettist Caitlin Vincent, an alumnus of the program's second season, will present their new hour-long work Better Gods—based on the life of Queen Lili'uokalani, the last monarch of Hawaii—on January 8 and 9, 2016 in the Terrace Theater.
