THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, has broken the house record of Broadway's Eugene O'Neill Theatre for the 21st time. The show earned $1,370,276.50 for the week ending Sunday, November 6, 2011 in the 1,068-seat O'Neill, one of Broadway's smallest theatres.
Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway grossed $1,173,785 during last week's seven performance week, and opens this Thursday November 10 for a limited engagement through January 1 2012. He also broke The Broadhurst Theatre box office record last week with a gross of $1,210,974.

War Horse has its Canadian Premiere in Feb of 2012, and Torontonians are already eager to experience this amazing show. Mirvish Productions held a special ticket giveaway event on Monday September 26th where the 1st 100 people in line received a free ticket to the show and a CD. Fans lined up as early as 2am for a chance to get a ticket, and BWW was on hand (at a more reasonable hour) to bring you coverage of this exciting event.

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that WAR HORSE, which just opened at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre last week, is gearing up for a national tour, as well as a separate sit-down Toronto production. While details on the tour have not yet been announced, the show will play Los Angeles' Ahmanson Theatre from June 13 - July 22, 2012. The Toronto production is set to open in February of 2012.

The National Theatre of Great Britain's production of WAR HORSE, presented by Lincoln Center Theater and the National Theatre of Great Britain in association with Bob Boyett, is now in previews at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65th Street). WAR HORSE is based on the novel by Michael Morpurgo, adapted by Nick Stafford, with Handspring Puppet Company, and directed by Marianne Elliott and Tom Morris. Opening night is Thursday, April 14 at 7:00 pm. Previews began March 15.
