The new Broadway production of JEKYLL & HYDE, starring Constantine Maroulis and Deborah Cox, plays its final performance today, May 12, 2013, after 15 previews and 30 regular performances at the Marquis Theatre. Direct from a 25-week national tour which launched in October 2012, JEKYLL & HYDE began previews on Broadway on April 5 and opened on April 18, 2013. Synetic 2012 comedy hit is back! The Synetic Teen Ensemble will remount Synetic's 'Silent Shakespeare' hit - The Taming of the Shrew. The production is directed by award-winning Synetic choreographer Irina Tsikurishvili and Senior Company Member Alex Mills (most recently seen as Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde). The stellar artistic team also includes Synetic Company Members Scott Brown, Ben Cunis, Irinka Kavsadze, Ryan Sellers, and Vato Tsikurishvili. Twenty two Synetic teens will perform 'Silent Shakespeare' classic with the inventiveness and flare audiences have come to expect from Synetic.

The first new album from Broadway legend Faith Prince in 13 years is set for release on Broadway Records. 'Total Faith: Live from the Royal Room at The Colony' was recorded live at the Royal Room of the Colony Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida in Spring, 2010 and will be released on April 16, 2013 and is available for pre-order athttp://amzn.com/B00BT0NPI4. The digital release will be available on April 12th.

BoHo Theatre presents Hauptmann, an examination of truth and media indictment, by lauded Chicago playwright John Logan. The production runs March 22nd through April 21st at the Heartland Studio in Rogers Park. Hauptmann is directed by Founding Artistic Director Stephen M. Genovese, who directed the critically acclaimed BoHo productions of The Rainmaker, The Glorious Ones, Sideshow, and I Am My Own Wife. The production features Jeremy Trager in the role of Richard Hauptmann. Trager was recently seen in BoHo's productions of The Spitfire Grill and Tartuffe. Hauptmann represents the Bohemian Pillar of Truth in BoHo's 2012/2013 Season.

The BLUEBARN Theatre continues its 2012-2013 Season with A BEHANDING IN SPOKANE by Martin McDonagh, which opens tonight, February 21st and runs through Saturday March 16th. Although this loud, Vegas-style reboot's changes are swathed in good intentions, very little---not even its trio of impressively talented lead singers---can truly eradicate the show's laughably grandiose histrionics, its weak book, and that inescapable cheese-factor.
