NEWSIES Cast to Perform at Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, 11/22

The cast of Newsies, the Tony® Award winning new American musical, will appear on the 2012 CBS Thanksgiving Day Parade, with a performance of "King of New York." For the first time ever, television audiences will have the opportunity to see a number performed on the stage of the Nederlander Theatre, where Newsies plays to sold-out crowds. The parade airs live on CBS, beginning at 9:00am, on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 22, 2012. (more...)

You've seen the League's announcement that alll of tomorrow (Tuesday) night's Broadway performances are cancelled. It's important to note that, for Mary Poppins, Newsies and The Lion King at least, the normal performance week is scheduled to resume on Wednesday, October 31, 2012. (more...)

Ron Raines Set to Join Cast of NEWSIES as 'Joseph Pulitzer' on October 9

Newsies, the Tony® Award winning new American musical, has just announced that 2012 Tony Award nominee Ron Raines will temporarily join the cast in the role of Joseph Pulitzer on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 and will play the role through Sunday, December 16, 2012. He steps in for John Dossett, who will be starring in Giant at the Public Theater. (more...)

CAROLS FOR A CURE is the annual two-disc holiday CD compilation of original songs and holiday classics which benefits BC/EFA. These CDs boast the best voices from the worlds of Broadway, Off-Broadway and national tours. A full track list for this year's 14th edition has not yet been announced, but the cast of Broadway's Newsies was already hard a work yesterday recording their track for the album.
