ebp and Intertalent Rights Group have announced that ventriloquist, comedian and winner of America's Got Talent 2015, Paul Zerdin, will tour the UK with a brand-new show - Paul Zerdin's Puppet Party. Taking in a total of 39 dates, the tour begins at Bedford's Corn Exchange on 18th September 2019 and concludes at London's Duchess Theatre on 25th November 2019. Ray of Light's (ROL's) production of The Rocky Horror Show filled me with hope for the youth of America. Lest that sound a bit strange, allow me to explain. Yes, ROL's a?oeRockya?? delivers in spades on the sexy entertainment value of this transgressive, go-for-broke show. But a?" it is also grounded in layers and layers of queer showbiz history even though it is presented by performers and designers who are way too young to have been around for the real thing. Taking the written-in-the-1970s-but-set-in-the-1950s show as its starting point, this production adds loopy gay cultural references from the 1930s right up to the present day - as if concocted by some crazed drag queen and thrown into a blender to see if it will explode. Surprisingly, it never does and it somehow all works.

On Saturday, July 13, from 10 am until 12 noon, Better Lemons and Theatre West will be hosting the Producers Panel "Show Me the Money!" with some of LA's premiere theatrical producers sharing their fundraising success stories and secrets. This panel discussion will provide a great opportunity for LA's vast theatrical community to ask questions on what it takes to produce a show in Los Angeles. The "Show Me the Money!" event will be a panel discussion and a conversation with the audience to address specific situations and opportunities. All of the panelists are producers with a diverse background of fundraising experience, from attracting wealthy benefactors to leveraging public funds.

The LA River is on the verge of a new era.  For the past six months, The Soraya/CSUN have brought together eco-artists, students, musicians, dancers, and composers in order to explore the waterway's many complexities in order to tell its story as it is about to change forever.  With a mixture of civic pride, environmental awareness and astonishing creativity, this group of artists has harvested vast amounts of wild non-native river reeds, plastics, river rocks and more-all utilized as creative inspiration that will be celebrated in a daylong free festival, Future Currents: LA River, on Friday, April 5 starting at 11am at The Soraya/CSUN.
