Michael Mayer Talks AMERICAN IDIOT by BWW News Desk - September 15, 2009Michael Meyer tells the LA Times that the most fundamental challenge he faced in the development of AN American Idiot, the Iraq War-themed new musical opening on Wednesday at Berkeley Rep, was creating a story from the 20 song Green Day album of the same title without adding a stitch of dialogue.
