SNL Vet Cheri Oteri Joins Cast of NEWSICAL in December!

Former Saturday Night Live funny-girl Cheri Oteri joins the cast of off Broadway's NEWSical The Musical for four weeks only. NEWSical the Musical is the forever changing, completely un-sanitized musical mockery of all the news that's fit to spoof. From Bloomberg's sign language interpreter to Honey Boo Boo Child to the aftermath of the 2012 Presidential Election, NEWSicalthe Musical sets all of today's biggest pop culture headlines to song. Earlier this fall, celebrity gossip guru Perez Hilton joined the show for a limited run, followed by Broadway's original Annie, Andrea McArdle. Comedian Cheri Oteri is the next guest star to take the raucous stage. She'll appear in NEWSical The Musical from December3rd through December 30th. (more...)

EVIL DEAD: THE MUSICAL Provides Free Admission to Military on Veteran's Day, 11/10

In honor of Veteran's Day, Evil Dead: The Musical, a 4-D theatrical experience based on the cult classic film series, is providing a special offer for all members of the military. Stage Door Inc. Presents THE LARAMIE PROJECT, 10/12-11/4

In October, 1998, a 21 year old man was kidnapped, severely beaten and left to die in the middle of a prairie outside Laramie, Wyoming, because he was gay. His name was Matthew Shepard. Stage Door Inc. will be performing this beautiful and moving piece and has partnered with the Matthew Shepard Foundation to collect donations during the run of the show. The Laramie Project opens on the 13th Anniversary of Matthew Shepard's tragic death, Friday, October 12, 2012 and runs, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm and Todays at 3:00pm, through November 4, 2012. Cast Announces for THE 2017 TONY AWARDZ at Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre

Upright Citizen Brigade presents The 2017 Tony Awardz, a musical parody by Stephanie Streisand and Rocco Privetera. Evan Greenspoon directs a cast of seven including Stephanie Streisand, Michael Hartney, Richard "Big Rich" Armstead, Adam Bozarth, Caroline Cotter, Matthew Frazier, and Douglas Widick. The 2017 Tony Awardz will run at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, 307 West 26th Street, in New York City Monday, December 17th at 9:30pm with future dates to be announced shortly. (more...)

SDI announces their fifth season opening in January, 2013. Audiences were asked to vote on their favorite SDI performances in the last five years. The audience picks were: Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street; Evil Dead: The Musical; Rent; Little Shop of Horrors; and The Rocky Horror Show. With the audience being clear on their favorites, SDI decided to keep with the theme and name 2013 their season of Murder, Madness and Mayhem. (more...)

Berkeley Playhouse Opens 5th Season with THE SOUND OF MUSIC, 10/27-12/2

Berkeley Playhouse opens its fifth season with Rodgers and Hammerstein's beloved final collaboration, THE SOUND OF MUSIC.
