The Cultural Services of the French Embassy and the French Institute Alliance Francaise (FIAF) are pleased to present Joel Pommerat's Little Red Riding Hood, a rare stateside performance of his most celebrated work, to open the third annual Tilt Kids Festival. Performances will take place at FIAF's Florence Gould Hall (55 East 59th Street) on Saturday, March 3 at 12 & 7pm, and Sunday, March 4 at 12pm.There will also be a Festival opening brunch before the Saturday matinee from 11am-12pm.

Theatre enthusiasts packed the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts tonight to hear Founding Artistic Director Robert Kelley and Executive Director Phil Santora of TheatreWorks Silicon Valley reveal the lineup for the company's 49th season, which launches this summer. Josefina Lopez, Founding Artistic Director of CASA 0101 Theater in Boyle Heights, CA announced today that CASA 0101 Theater is in danger of closing its doors. Lopez said, "I opened CASA over 15 years ago. I started CASA to create opportunities for actors and writers and artists. This is the kind of place that I wanted when I was a little girl. I thought this would be my way of giving back to my community in Boyle Heights. But, unfortunately we are on the brink of closing down because we can't pay our rent, so we need your financial support. If you believe in what were are doing, please support us now."

During their John Guare Festival and the World Premiere of Guare's epic Lydie Breeze Trilogy, EgoPo Classic Theater is collaborating with Drexel University's Performing Arts Department for an evening symposium, Future of American Playwriting, Saturday, February 3 at 4 p.m. The panel will feature John Guare and local playwrights Jacqueline Goldfinger, Bruce Graham, and James Ijames.
