The Museum of Modern Art will present Wolfgang Tillmans: To look without fear, the artist's first museum survey in New York, from September 12, 2022 through January 1, 2023, in the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Center for Special Exhibitions.

Northern Kentucky University's School of the Arts will continue its 21/22 Theatre & Dance season with the regional premiere of 'The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical,' a musical adaptation of Rick Riordan's bestselling book, running from Feb. 25 through March 6, 2022 at NKU's Corbett Theatre.

PTP/NYC (Potomac Theatre Project), in association with Middlebury College, will open its summer program tonight, as part of its 34th year, running July 9 - August 16, 2021.

He died peacefully on the evening of December 22, 2020 of natural causes in East Hampton, New York.

The 2020 Philip K. Dick Science Fiction Film Festival has announced the award winners for its eighth annual event which featured a lineup of screenings, premieres, panels, virtual reality demonstrations, and the launch of a new screenplay competition held in honor of acclaimed novelist Philip K. Dick. The festival was held from March 4-8, 2020 at the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria, NY and recognized nine films and three screenplays for their outstanding filmmaking and storytelling.

Following five-weeks of exceptional performances in New York City, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will continue its “Ailey Revealed” season during a 21-city North American tour which kicks off during Black History Month. The 2020 engagement opens on February 4th at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. with a gala to benefit Ailey's D.C. programs, including the creation of new works, Arts-In-Education activities, and scholarships to talented young area dancers to attend The Ailey School in New York. Live Arts at the Morris Museum, a bold new performance series, introduces cultural climate change to Morris County's Morris Museum in historic Morristown, New Jersey. This spring through summer the French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF) presents Burning Bright: New French Filmmakers as part of its popular CinéSalon series. In what has become an annual highlight of the FIAF calendar, the 2019 edition of Burning Bright showcases recent noteworthy films by nine exciting young filmmakers. The screenings include seven US and NY premieres with introductions by figures from the film industry, as well as appearances from directors. It is organized by FIAF film curator Delphine Selles-Alvarez with Dana Kurylyk and runs every Tuesday from May 7 to June 25.

Manchester International Festival today unveils its 2019 programme, which takes place across 18 extraordinary days (4-21 July 2019). Internationally-acclaimed artists from over 20 countries - many working in one-off creative collaborations - will present 20 UK and world premieres at the cross-art form biennial festival, the second with John McGrath as Artistic Director.
