BWW Interview: Amy Grant on Her New TENNESSEE CHRISTMAS Special for The Hallmark Channel
by Aaron Wallace - Nov 28, 2018

Among the topics we tackle beside the waterfall: what it's like to write a modern Christmas song in these politically divisive times, the thing that gets her choked up on stage, and the Broadway shows she's into these days… AMY GRANT'S TENNESSEE CHRISTMAS premieres on The Hallmark Channel December 3, 2018...

Kristin Chenoweth 'Comes Home' For Trio of Concerts With the Nashville Symphony
by BWW News Desk - Sep 29, 2018

There's just something about Kristin Chenoweth. It's almost undefinable, perhaps even undescribable, yet as with any writer's efforts to put into words how remarkable the woman behind the image is, I'll give it my best shot, attempting to encapsulate the wonder that is Kristin Chenoweth in 2,000 words or less (but if I go over, don't judge too harshly - I'm simply stating the facts that prove the folly of my initial hypothesis).

BWW Review: MAMMA MIA at At The Welk Resort Theatre
by Ron Bierman - Sep 15, 2018

The Welk Resort Theatre's production of Mamma Mia is a cheerful high energy entertainment, a worthy example of why the musical has been a favorite of many dozens of production companies around the world since its 1999 London premiere. The story is set on the Greek island of Kalokairi where we learn that Sophie, a 20-year-old bride-to-be, doesn't know who her father is. She's secretly read in her mother Donna's diary that it must be one of three men Donna had brief affairs with 20 years ago. Determined to find out which one it is, Sophie has invited them to her wedding without telling her mother.

Theatre Raymond Kabbaz Presents THE PEARL OF MARSEILLES
by BWW News Desk - Jun 1, 2018

Theatre Raymond Kabbaz (TRK) presents La perle de la Canebiere (The Pearl of Marseille). The play is performed by La Troupe du Theatre Raymond Kabbaz (TRK's Gang) and directed by Pierre Leloup. La perle de la Canebiere (The Pearl of Marseille) is a single act comedy, performed for the first time in Paris (Theatre du Palais Royal) in February 1855. The play was written by Eugene Labiche and Marc Michel, both fine observers of the French society of the 19th century. What happens in this pearl ? The action takes place in a very bourgeois and conservative society, greatly unreceptive to poetry and any kind of eccentricity. Thereson Marcasse, the outgoing pearl, the free and generous marseillaise, shatters this incredibly narrow world. The pearl is a bomb of excessiveness in a world of moderation.
