Rufous Hound to Make Stage Début in UTOPIA Cast this Summer

Artistic Directors Steve Marmion and Max Roberts today announce the full cast for their joint new writing project UTOPIA, which is making its world premiere at Live Theatre on Thursday 31 May, before transferring to Soho Theatre on Wednesday 20 June, with opening night on Thursday 21 June. UTOPIA will star: Tobi Bakare (Greenland National Theatre; Crawling In The Dark Almeida Theatre and Gone Too Far, Royal Court Theatre); Laura Elphinstone (Top Girls, Chichester Festival Theatre/Trafalgar Studios; A Month in the Country, Chichester Festival Theatre and the film adaptation of The History Boys); Rufus Hound making his theatre debut, is most well-known for his regular team captainship on Argumental, Celebrity Juice, 8 Out of 10 Cats and Never Mind The Buzzcocks; Pamela Miles (Darker Shores, Hampstead Theatre; Pygmalion, Theatre Royal Bath/Old Vic London and Lone Star Mark Three, Salisbury Playhouse); also making her stage debut Sophia Myles who is most well-known for her leading roles in film and TV including Tristan and Isolde and Spooks and David Whitaker one of the founders of Live Theatre, Newcastle, his theatre credits include The Pitmen Painters (Live Theatre/National Theatre/Broadway and West End) plus extensive credits for the Royal Shakespeare Company and Donmar Warehouse. Lakewood Theatre Company will celebrate its 60th anniversary season with six productions on its Mainstage and three productions on its Side Door stage beginning July 13, 2012. Season tickets for the 2012-2013 season are on sale now and prices for the six-show season range from $170.00 - $160.00. Performances are Thursday -Saturday at 7:30 PM, Sundays at 7:00 PM and some Sunday matinees at 2:00 PM. Season tickets can be purchased at the LTC Box Office at 368 S. State Street in Lake Oswego. TV Land's THE SOUL MAN, Starring Cedric 'The Entertainer' and Niecy Nash, Begins Production; Premieres 6/20

TV Land is giving one of the original 'Kings of Comedy' his own sitcom. Comedians Cedric 'The Entertainer' and Niecy Nash star in the network's newest original series, 'The Soul Man' (formerly known as 'Have Faith'), which begins production this week for a total of 12 episodes, it was announced yesterday by Keith Cox, executive vice president, development and original programming, TV Land. 'The Soul Man' premieres Wednesday, June 20 at 10pm ET/PT, immediately followed by the season two premiere of TV Land's hit sitcom, 'The Exes,' which stars Donald Faison ('Scrubs'), Wayne Knight ('Seinfeld'), David Alan Basche ('The Starter Wife'), Kelly Stables ('Two and a Half Men') and Kristen Johnston ('3rd Rock From The Sun').
