Cohen & West to Star in Churchill's 'Drunk Enough?' at The Public

The Public Theater continues its spring season with the U.S. premiere of Drunk Enough to Say I Love You?, a new play by Caryl Churchill presented in association with the Royal Court Theatre. This two-character play, directed by James Macdonald and featuring Scott Cohen and Samuel West, comes to The Public after an acclaimed run at the Royal Court in London last year. Drunk Enough to Say I Love You? will begin previews on Wednesday, March 5 and run through Sunday, April 6 with an official press opening on Sunday, March 16 at 7PM. (more...)


Women Musicians & Activists of Culture Project Visit New Orleans

Culture Project has announced that Emancipate, a project of its annual Women Center Stage series, will bring a group of female musicians (who are also activists in their communities) to New Orleans to meet with activists doing rebuilding work in New Orleans, and bring their stories to a national audience. The artists will be in New Orleans March 2-6, 2008, and will create new songs to premiere at Culture Project's 2008 festival this spring. (more...)

Cherry Lane Extends Albee- Mulgrew To Replace Ivey

The Cherry Lane Theatre announces that based on overwhelming critical accolades as well as audience response, performances of Edward Albee's The American Dream and The Sandbox have been extended until Saturday, May 17th. The production was originally scheduled to close April 19th. Additionally, Outer Critics Circle and Lortel nominated and 'Star Trek:Voayager' star Kate Mulgrew will be replacing Judith Ivey who aready had other commitments. (more...)
