The National's sell-out production of Nick Stafford's adaptation of Michael Morpurgo's book transferred to the West End in March this year where it has been playing to packed houses ever since. Last week, just 12 weeks after its opening at the New London Theatre, War Horse recouped its transfer costs, having had a record breaking week of sales in May of over £330,000. (more...)

BWW WEST END: WAR HORSE Opens in the West End

WAR HORSE, the hugely acclaimed, award-winning production based on Michael Morpurgo's novel, adapted by Nick Stafford, opened at the New London Theatre on Friday April 3rd, due to overwhelming demand. Critics' Circle Award-Winners include 'Hairspray' & Patrick Stewart

The Critics' Circle Theatre Awards 2007 were hosted today by its Chairman Charles Spencer, theatre critic of The Daily Telegraph, at the Prince of Wales Theatre, London. Top winners included the new production of "Hairspray," Patrick Stewart and Rupert Goold of "Macbeth," plus new play "A Disappearing Number," and actors Charles Dance, Anne-Marie Duff, Chiwetel Ejiofor.
