The Huntington Theatre Company opens its 28th season - a season of American stories - with August Wilson's Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning Fences, the sixth chapter of his groundbreaking ten-play cycle about the 20th century African-American experience. Kenny Leon (Radio Golf, Gem of the Ocean, A Raisin in the Sun), acclaimed director and Wilson's final collaborator before his death, returns to the Huntington to helm the production, which stars John Beasley (Two Trains Running, Jitney, 'Everwood'). Tomlin Hosts NCFT Gala; Honors Lane & Lee, 4/19

National Corporate Theatre Fund (NCTF) will hold its Annual Chairman's Awards Gala and benefit on Monday, April 19 at the St. Regis New York hotel. This year, NCTF Chairman James S. Turley, Chairman & CEO of Ernst & Young, will honor Nathan Lane (returning to Broadway this season in The Addams Family), set designer Eugene Lee (Wicked) and Wells Fargo & Company. Accepting the award on behalf of Wells Fargo will be Joe Kirk, Regional President for New York and Connecticut. All net proceeds of the event will be distributed as the NCTF/WELLS FARGO FUND FOR NEW AMERICAN THEATRE. (more...)

'Broadway Talks' at 92Y Welcomes Liev Schreiber, 3/1

92nd Street Y and Jujamcyn Theaters will present a series of conversations entitled 'Broadway Talks,' featuring some of today's biggest Broadway stars, throughout the spring. The talks will be held as one-on-one conversations with Jujamcyn President, Jordan Roth, and will take place on four separate occasions from March to May. Tony Goldwyn, Katie Finneran & Brooks Ashmanskas Join PROMISES, PROMISES

Acclaimed actor/director Tony Goldwyn will star as J.D. Sheldrake, with Tony Award winner Katie Finneran as Marge MacDougall, and Tony award nominee Brooks Ashmanskas as Mr. Dobitch, joining Emmy Award winner Sean Hayes and Tony and Emmy Award winner Kristin Chenoweth in the musical comedy PROMISES, PROMISES at the Broadway Theater (1681 Broadway). Previews will begin Saturday, March 27th, 2010, at 8pm, with an opening night of Sunday, April 25th, 2010. The first-ever Broadway revival of PROMISES, PROMISES is produced by Broadway Across America (John Gore, Thomas B.
