Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College announces its 55th season of diverse, family friendly theater and musical theater performances, including a Tony® Award-winning musical, an American literary masterpiece, and a world-premiere adaptation of a children's classic.

Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College announces its 2009-2010 World Stages: Dance series. Since the inception of a dance series in 1966, over 40 dance companies have made their New York City debuts at Brooklyn Center and more than 170 regional, national and international companies have premiered new works. This season showcases four international dance companies that reflect the artistic excellence and cultural diversity to which Brooklyn Center is dedicated.

After a 48 year absence, Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) will present the first new Broadway production of Bye Bye Birdie as the inaugural production of the new Henry Miller's Theatre (124 West 43rd Street) beginning Thursday, September 10th, 2009 with an official opening on Thursday, October 15th, 2009. This will be a limited engagement through January 10th, 2010.

Old Globe Executive Producer Lou Spisto recently announced that the theatre will present a special one-night engagement of Stephen Schwartz and Friends.. This delightful event, featuring the Grammy and Academy Award-winning composer/lyricist of the smash Broadway musicals Wicked, Godspell, Working, Pippin and many others, will be performed in the Old Globe Theatre on Monday, March 9 at 7:30pm. The Music Center of Los Angeles County announces the sixth season of the Dance at the Music Center series. The New Mel Brooks Musical Young Frankenstein, a new musical comedy from the creative team of the 12-time Tony Award winning smash The Producers, will open on Broadway November 8th 2007 at the Hilton Theatre (213 W 42nd St).
