Naked Shakespeare Continues Monthly Wine Bar Series with THE APPRENTICE SHOWCASE Tonight

Naked Shakespeare, Acorn Productions' acting company dedicated to presenting the works of the Bard in non-traditional venues without sets, lights, and costumes, has decided to offer another edition of its monthly shows at the Wine Bar on Wharf Street in March. 'The Apprentice Showcase' features short selections of text performed by first-year students in the new Acorn Shakespeare Conservatory, which began training work last fall. (more...)

The epic story of King Henry V's battle with the French during the Hundred Years' War comes alive for the first time at the Folger Theatre, in William Shakespeare's historical drama Henry V. Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) Artistic Director Barbara Gaines and Executive Director Criss Henderson announced today CST's 2013/14 Season, which includes William Shakespeare's popular comedy The Merry Wives of Windsor, directed by Artistic Director Barbara Gaines; Shakespeare's epic history play Henry V, staged by acclaimed British director Christopher Luscombe; and Edmond Rostand's classic romance Cyrano de Bergerac, directed by Penny Metropulos and featuring Harry Groener (CST's The Madness of George III, Jeff Award) in the title role. Stratford Festival Celebrates 60th Season Highlights at Annual General Meeting

The Stratford Festival held its annual general meeting on Saturday, celebrating the successes of its landmark 60th season, under the joint leadership of Artistic Director Des McAnuff and General Director Antoni Cimolino. Actors Theatre of Louisville Opens 37th Humana Festival with Sam Mark's THE DELLING SHORE Tonight

The 37th Humana Festival of New American Plays, made possible by a generous grant from the Humana Foundation, opens with the world premiere of Sam Mark's The Delling Shore, directed by Actors Theatre's associate artistic director Meredith McDonough.
