Newly Updated 'DOW JONES' With Paige, Hanlon, Berman Plays Minetta Lane Theatre 8/15-23

The new developmental production of How Now, Dow Jones starring Cristen Paige (Spelling Bee, The Visit, Cry-Baby), Colin Hanlon (Rent, I Love You Because) and Fred Berman (The Normal Heart, Room Service) will begin performances this Saturday at the Minetta Lane Theatre (18 Minetta Lane) as part of the 2009 New York International Fringe Festival. This new production will also restore an Elmer Bernstein-Carolyn Leigh cabaret favorite to the show: 'Shakespeare Lied'. (more...)

Cygnet Theatre Company Welcomes Two New Staff Members

As one beloved Cygnet member spreads his wings to make his new home in Seattle, Washington, two new staff members are settling in to make their home at Cygnet Theatre. Joshua Rowland, Cygnet's Patron Services Manager since January 2007, ends his position with Cygnet on August 23rd. Mike 'Rojo' Reynolds will take over as Cygnet's new Patron Services Manager and Jessica John has been named Cygnet's new Public Relations Director. Sick, the black comedy written by Zayd Dohrn and directed by Tony and Pulitzer Prize winner David Auburn tells the story of 'a small home on the Lower East Side of Manhattan is the only safe haven for the children of the Krebs family. But despite Mrs. Krebs' attempts to protect her family with scrubbers, masks, and isolation, the delicate balance is brought to the breaking point when her husband's academic career brings a stranger into their safe house.
