Intiman Theatre proudly presents THE ANGELS PROJECT, a summer-long theatre festival inspired by Angels in America, Tony Kushner's Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning, epic two-play exploration of politics, religion, race, sexuality, and more through the lens of the 1980s HIV/AIDS crisis in New York City. As a global leader in the search for a preventive HIV/AIDS vaccine, Seattle's Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center is the Presenting Sponsor of THE ANGELS PROJECT.

'Twas the night before Christmas, and through the Houston area people were shopping, cursing their error. Why did they wait for the last few minutes to buy so many holiday presents? Cozy, at home, two theater enthusiasts discussed theatrical amusements. There were funny shows, and sad ones. Some had music and joviality, while others encouraged civic responsibility. But, sadly, the list of dream shows to see just grew and grew. Wouldn't it be great if Houston produced just a few? They may have been done, but not since we started seeing everything. Oh, Santa and producers, please make true our Christmas dreams.

Critically acclaimed theatre company The Playwrights Realm presents the New York premiere of Lauren Yee's new play The Hatmaker's Wife, directed by recent OBIE Award winner Rachel Chavkin (Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812). The Hatmaker's Wife marks the first Playwrights Realm production at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater (416 West 42nd Street) in midtown Manhattan, following previous engagements in several downtown Off-Broadway venues. Previews begin tonight, August 27, for an opening Thursday, September 5.

Tony Kushner to Receive WGAW's 2013 Paul Selvin Award for LINCOLN Screenplay

Writers Guild and Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Tony Kushner has been chosen to receive the WGAW's 2013 Paul Selvin Award for his adapted screenplay for Lincoln. Named after the late Selvin, who served as counsel to the Guild, the award is given to the WGA member whose script best embodies the spirit of the constitutional and civil rights and liberties, which are indispensable to the survival of free writers everywhere. Kushner will be recognized, along with other honorees, at the Writers Guild Awards ceremony on Sunday, February 17, at the JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE.
LUCKY GUY Box Office Opens Tomorrow, Jan 25

The Broadhurst Theatre box office opens tomorrow, Friday, January 25 at 10:00 AM for LUCKY GUY, starring two-time Academy Award-winner Tom Hanks, in the final work by three-time Academy Award-nominee Nora Ephron and directed by two-time Tony Award-winner George C. Wolfe. The Broadhurst Theatre is located at 235 West 44th Street. The production will play a strictly limited engagement. Opening night is Monday, April 1. Previews begin Friday, March 1.

Presented by special arrangement with Daryl Roth, The Normal Heart runs tonight, June 8-July 29, 2012 in the Kreeger Theater.
