Nathan Lane to Star in Goodman Theatre's ICEMAN COMETH

According to the Chicago Tribune, Nathan Lane will star in the Goodman Theatre production of Eugene O'Neill's 'The Iceman Cometh.' The show will be directed by Robert Falls and will run in Spring 2012. Falls commented: 'Nathan had approached me about wanting to work on an O'Neill play and I have finally been able to put together this project I have been working on for three years. I think this is the greatest American play.'

Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced that The Old Globe will produce the World Premieres of four new plays and musicals in its 2011-12 Winter Season. The season will feature the World Premiere musicals Some Lovers by music legend Burt Bacharach and Tony Award winner Steven Sater and Nobody Loves You by Gaby Alter and Itamar Moses, as well as the West Coast Premiere of John Kander and Fred Ebb's The Scottsboro Boys, recently nominated for 12 Tony Awards including Best Musical, directed and choreographed by five-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman. The two plays receiving World Premiere productions are Somewhere by Globe Playwright-in-Residence Matthew Lopez and The Recommendation by Jonathan Caren. The new season also includes revivals of Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show and the Eugene O'Neill classic Anna Christie directed by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner David Auburn. Special events include the World Premiere of Odyssey by Todd Almond, a music theater event conceived and directed by Lear deBessonet celebrating the Globe's 75th Anniversary, The Old Globe/University of San Diego Graduate Theatre Program production of Twelfth Night and Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, which returns for its 14th consecutive year.

Previews for Born Yesterday, starring Jim Belushi, Robert Sean Leonard and Nina Arianda, start tonight, March 31, at Broadway's Cort Theatre (138 West 48th Street) at 8 pm. According to Deadline.com, stage and screen star MIchael Emerson is set to star in CBS pilot entitle 'Person of Interest.' The pilot will be written and executive produced by Jonah Nolan and executive produced by J.J. Abrams. The show 'centers on ex-CIA agent Reese, presumed dead, who teams up with reclusive billionaire Finch (Michael Emerson) to prevent violent crimes in New York City' as described by Deadline.

According to Variety, Kevin Spacey is set to star in a pilot entitled 'House of Cards.' Adapted from the Brittish series of the same title, the pilot is not yet attached to a network. The pilot will be written by Beau Willimon and directed by David Fincher.

MacGilvray have announced that casting is complete for the upcoming Broadway production of Born Yesterday, a comedy by Garson Kanin, directed by Doug Hughes. Lucy Cohu (Julia), Diana Hardcastle (Edna), Ian McElhinney (Harry), Imelda Staunton (Claire) and Tim Pigott-Smith (Tobias) will join the previously announced Penelope Wilton (Agnes) in Edward Albee's A Delicate Balance, directed by James Macdonald which will run at the Almeida Theatre from 5 May - 2 July, with press night on 12 May 2011. A Delicate Balance will be designed by Laura Hopkins with lighting by Guy Hoare and sound by Ian Dickinson.
