Barrington Stage Company, the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, MA, under the leadership Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Managing Director Tristan Wilson, presents The Best of Enemies, a world premiere by the author of BSC's longest-running hit play, Freud's Last Session.

In 1971 Wil Love first performed in the woods of Caledonia in the play Here Lies Jeremy Troy at Totem Pole Playhouse. Little did he know at the time that he was beginning a lifelong relationship with the Playhouse.

High Line Art, presented by Friends of the High Line, and the Trisha Brown Dance Company are pleased to present Trisha Brown's seminal work Roof Piece as part of High Line Art's spring 2011 program. The event marks the culmination of the 40th anniversary of the Trisha Brown Dance Company and the first time the piece will be performed in its original context, outdoors on rooftops, since its premiere in 1971. Trisha Brown's Roof Piece will be performed on roofs of buildings surrounding the southern section of the High Line on June 9 and 10 at 7:00pm, and twice on June 11 at 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm. A rain date is scheduled for Sunday, June 12th.

Aurora Theatre Company announced today that Arion Press in San Francisco will print a limited edition handcrafted book of renowned American playwright Edward Albee's script for A DELICATE BALANCE; the book printing will coincide with Aurora Theatre Company's production of the play.

Joining Neil Patrick Harris in Company for the New York Philharmonic April 7-9 will be Patti LuPone as Joanne, Anika Noni Rose as Marta, Martha Plimpton as Sarah, Jim Walton as Larry and comedian Stephen Colbert as Harry.

Last year, owing to the CD release Come and Get It: the Best of Apple Records, Beatles' fans and the music-buying public has finally gotten reacquainted with the name of Lon Van Eaton. In 1971, Lon and his brother Derrek had formed a singing duo in their native New Jersey, when they were signed to The Beatles' Apple Records and recorded an album called Brother (1973). The album (the first-ever CD compilation of several artists signed to The Beatles' Apple label) finds Lon & Derrek in good company, including Apple-singles from James Taylor, Mary Hopkin, Billy Preston, and Badfinger, with their track 'Sweet Music.' Concurrent with that release, Lon Van Eaton announced plans for a new interactive entertainment show called Livies - Live Interactive Visual Immersion Entertainment Shows. The production features all original music and rear-and-front projected images on three domes; much akin to the ones featured on the new Paula Abdul show called Live To Dance.

The award-winning musical will be produced and directed by Lonny Price, who directed and co-produced last season's SONDHEIM: The Birthday Concert!, and will be conducted by Sondheim specialist Paul Gemignani, with the original orchestrations for a 35-piece orchestra by Jonathan Tunick. Unseen in London since 1971, Graham Greene's controversial play The Potting Shed returns to the Finborough Theatre by popular demand after a sell-out Sunday and Monday run in October 2010, opening on Tuesday, 4 January 2011 for a four week run (Press Night: Thursday, 6 January 2011 at 7.30pm) as part of RediscoveriesUK, a three month season of rediscovered plays by writers from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

As BroadwayWorld has reported, The New York Philharmonic's SONDHEIM: The Birthday Concert, which took place on March 15-16, 2010 at Avery Fisher Hall, will be broadcast on THIRTEEN'S Great Performances on PBS on Wednesday, November 24 (check local listings). WNET, Channel 13 in New York City, will air the concert at 9:30 p.m. that evening. Today, it has been revealed that the Image Entertainment will release the program DVD and Blu-Ray on November 16, 2010. The concert includes songs and orchestral pieces from Sondheim musical theater favorites such as Company, Follies, A Little Night Music, Sweeney Todd, Merrily We Roll Along, Into the Woods, and Sunday in the Park with George. Today, it has been announced that in addition to the PBS telecast, the concert will be released on DVD in November by Image Entertainment.

Created in 1971, the Paul Robeson Award recognizes a person who best exemplifies the principles by which Mr. Robeson lived.
