Broadway in Fort Lauderdale, and Bank of America present the NETworks Presentations national tour of A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. With a book and lyrics by Robert L. Freedman and music and lyrics by Steven Lutvak, the musical comedy is based on the 1907 novel Israel Rank: The Autobiography of a Criminal by Roy Horniman, which was also the source for the 1949 British film Kind Hearts and Coronets.

Barrington Stage Company and Artistic Director Julianne Boyd, has announced the 2018 season, which will feature three world premieres, including a major new musical from Tony Awards winners William Finn and Rachel Sheinkin, a new play from Off Broadway Alliance Award winner Lloyd Suh, and the first major production of a work from an exciting young playwright, Rachel Lynett.

The Old Globe's 2017 2018 Season continues with today's announcement of the complete cast and creative team for Anton Chekhov's masterpiece Uncle Vanya, which has received a Globe-commissioned world premiere translation from Richard Nelson, Richard Pevear, andLarissa Volokhonsky. Richard Nelson (Illyria, The Gabriel Plays, Tony Award winner for Best Book of a Musical for James Joyce's The Dead) also directs. Uncle Vanya will run February 10 March 11, 2018 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Tickets start at $30.00 and are on sale to the general public now. Previews run February 10 14. Opening night is Thursday, February 15 at 8:00 p.m.

Principal casting has been announced for the UK premiere of The Last Ship the acclaimed musical by the internationally renowned musician Sting which is to premiere in the UK when it opens at Northern Stage in Newcastle on 12 March 2018.

The Old Globe's 2017 2018 Season continues with today's announcement of the complete cast and creative team of a top-notch revival of Oscar Wilde's endlessly entertaining comedy The Importance of Being Earnest. Maria Aitken will direct the Globe's handsome production of this timeless world classic an unmissable opportunity to see what the London Telegraph calls the most perfect comedy in the English language. Academy Award nominee Janet McTeer (Albert Nobbs, The Honourable Woman) joins the award-nominated, Netflix drama series OZARK for season 2. McTeer will play a Chicago based attorney with links to the cartel. In making a deal with the devil, she becomes a potential threat to the Byrdes.

Anton Chekhov's short story is adapted by Mark Giesser for the stage for a Jazz Age reimagining of this bittersweet romantic comedy, playing the White Bear Theatre in February-March 2018, starring Beth Burrows (Sirens of the Silver Screen, Upstairs at the Gatehouse) and Alan Turkington (RSC).
