The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) has today announced further details of its Tales for Winter 2020/21 programme which includes Swingin' the Dream; a concert of a work in progress from the Royal Shakespeare Company, with the Young Vic and Theatre for a New Audience including original music and songs from the 1939 production by Gilbert Seldes and Erik Charell.

Ghost Lights is set on the empty stage of the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, on the 5th September 1939 when all theatres were closed due to the outbreak of WW2. Novello meets Mary Ellis, Dorothy Dickson and Elisabeth Welch to reminisce about their work and also their concerns for theatre and its survival.

A handful of intrepid solo performers are presenting live, outdoor pop up performances of their acclaimed solo shows this Fall. These intimate storytelling events are presented using the LiveTours app and performed for an audience of 14 or less.

Bristol Riverside Theatre presents the landmark Broadway musical Cabaret, with music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and book by Joe Masteroff. Lauren Molina, of The Skivvies, will lead the cast as Sally Bowles.

The GRAMMY AWARDS Premiere Ceremony took place at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 26, from 12:30-3:30 p.m. PT. The world premiere adaptation of KEY LARGO, already in previews, will open tonight, November 14, 2019 at the Geffen Playhouse. 80 years ago on January 6, 1939, a German immigrant and passionate Jazz fan named Alfred Lion produced his first recording session in New York City with two Boogie Woogie pianists, founding what would become the most-respected and longest-running Jazz label in the world. Blue Note Records has gone on to represent The Finest In Jazz, tracing the entire history of the music from Hot Jazz, Boogie Woogie, and Swing, through Bebop, Hard Bop, Post-Bop, Soul Jazz, Avant-Garde, and Fusion, and-after being relaunched by Bruce Lundvall in 1984-has remained the leading label dedicated to documenting today's vibrant and creatively thriving Jazz scene under the leadership of current President Don Was, who took the helm in 2012.

Whenever DeLayne Bluth Dayton directs a show she especially likes, she finds a way to appear on stage, often popping up in a place that even surprises her actors. "I'm kind of like Alfred Hitchcock who did that in his films," she laughs.

The third day of the BMI Stage at Lollapalooza gets underway with GRAMMY Award-winner Grace Weber, a go-to collaborator of Chance the Rapper and Kanye West. Opera Theatre St. Louis has produced many wonderful productions, and a handful of simply perfect ones. Their production of 'Regina' is among the latter.
