Leawood Stage Company, the mainly city supported suburban, community theater program under the Leawood (KS) Park and Recreation District operates in several city controlled locations including the outdoor Ironwoods Amphitheatre. Mona Mansour is a member of the Public Theater's Emerging Writers Group and a resident playwright at New Dramatists. 'The Vagrant Trilogy,' which follows a Palestinian family over a forty-year period, is comprised of three of her plays; the Mosaic Theatre production, which opens on June 11th (previews start June 6th), is the first time all three plays will be staged together. 'The Vagrant Trilogy' is part of the 2018 Voices from a Changing Middle East Festival.
Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will pay homage to the glittering world of Hollywood musicals with Mad About Musicals!, a special month of programming celebrating timeless movie musicals such as The Wizard of Oz, Singin' in the Rain and Cabaret. Greenwich+Docklands International Festival (GDIF), London's leading festival of outdoor theatre and performing arts, today announces its full programme for the 2018 festival, running from 21 June - 7 July in locations across Royal Greenwich, Royal Docks and Tower Hamlets. Audiences are invited to 'dream a little dream' over 17 midsummer days of outdoor theatre and performance, in which public spaces are transformed with more than 130 performances celebrating dreams of love, struggle, ambition and flight.
