National Asian Artists Project (NAAP) and Nikole Vallins presents New York's first fully staged-reading of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! with a professional all Asian-American cast on Monday, October 25th. The one-night only performance will be October 25 at 7:00 PM at the Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street at 9th Avenue). Tickets are $21.25 and available through Telecharge.com.

Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! is the first production at the Mead Center and features an all-star cast under the direction of Artistic Director Molly Smith. Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! runs October 22-December 26, 2010 in the Fichandler Stage.

New York City Center will present 'Musical Theater: From the Page to the Stage,' a new series curated and hosted by Tony Award-winning actress and master teacher Victoria Clark, on three Monday nights beginning October 18 and continuing on February 28 and May 16. Gary Griffin will direct Lost in the Stars, with music by Kurt Weill and book and lyrics by Maxwell Anderson, opening on February 3, 2011. John Doyle will direct Where's Charley, based on Brandon Thomas' Charley's Aunt, with book by George Abbott and music and lyrics by Frank Loesser, opening on March 17, 2011. Music Director Rob Berman will conduct all three musicals.

Beowulf Alley Theatre's Old Time Radio Theatre presents an exciting series of live presentations of old radio shows from the golden age at the theatre, 11 South 6th Avenue (Downtown between Broadway and Congress) in the first and third week of each month. After OKLAHOMA!, composer Richard Rodgers (1902-1979) and lyricist/librettist Oscar Hammerstein, II (1895-1960) produced such vital works as CAROUSEL, THE KING AND I, SOUTH PACIFIC and THE SOUND OF MUSIC, making them the most important contributors to the musical-play form during the 1940s-1950s, the era that is considered the golden age of the medium.
