Maggie! What have you been up to since we spoke just before last year's Fringe?
Actually, I returned to politics, dear! I was Theresa May's campaign manager...It didn't go very well. After that I was chief negotiator for the government in their deal with DUP... Not my finest hour. And now I've been asked if I'll take the lead on the Brexit deal with the EU... I might give it a pass.
What inspired you to create your own game show?
I was watching Challenge TV one night and thought 'these game shows are so awful, I could do something this bad without even trying.' So I did!
Have you added any new rounds to the game show based on current political events?
My dear, I persevered with monetarism long after it was clear it wasn't working for anyone! I'm not changing the game show just because it's 'out of date'. So come along and expect up to date satire on things like Ed Miliband, the MPs expenses scandal, and Lembit Opek going out with a Cheeky Girl. (Not really, it's all fantastically up to date - we've even got a magic money tree in it).
Who would you recommend comes to see you at the Fringe?
EVERYONE. It's more crowd-pleasing than a Conservative manifesto not written by someone who hates people with dementia. And when they're done with my Game Show they should come along to my wonderful club night where there'll be non-stop 80s hits played by a non-stop 80s witch!
...and who would you recommend maybe doesn't?
My daughter Carol. I don't need to see her anymore than is strictly necessary.
