Tell us a bit about Lady Muck.
Lady Muck is a show about breaking up, breaking down and piecing together who you are. It's about embracing your flaws and learning to love yourself. I got 'ghosted' from a relationship and found myself all on my own for the first time as an adult so the show involves trying to find the man in question and discover what I did wrong while learning to be comfortable in the skin you're in.
Why bring it to Edinburgh?
It's the biggest arts festival in the world in the most beautiful city in the country - why wouldn't I want to bring it here?! I absolutely love the Fringe and I am unbelievably excited for it to kick off.
What sets it apart from other shows at the Fringe?
I'm one of the youngest comics working professionally on the UK circuit, and in particular one of, if not the, youngest female - this is something I think sets me apart a little! It means I bring a fresh, fierce (and most importantly funny) female voice and this comes through very strong in Lady Muck. It's a show from the perspective of a young adult, but I think it's very relatable no matter what age you are. People either want to be my best pal or parent me, so if you want a new mate or a new daughter then get yourself down!
This is your debut at the festival, do you think you know what to expect?
I think so! While it's my debut hour I've been to Edinburgh 3 times before with mixed bill shows so I'm used to the circus that is the Fringe. The most important thing I've learned over the years to pace yourself - the whole month can quite easily turn into one big party but you need to remember you've got work to do as well! I'm pleased I'm going into my debut with that nugget of knowledge.
Who would you recommend comes to see you?
Anyone with a good sense of humour ideally! People who like a show that's full of laughs but packs a punch too. If you don't mind a 'potty mouthed' Geordie with plenty of sass then I'll welcome you in with open arms.
