Tell us a bit about Defiant.
So Defiant is my debut show, its basically a show that lets people know about me as i have always seen myself as being a comedian who has strong opinions and this show is me showcasing that and talking a bit about my family I just like people to get a real sense of who I am when they leave.
Why bring it to Edinburgh?
Its about time i guess, always been nervous about doing Edinburgh im terrible at planning an booking stuff in advance but luckily i have a great management team behind me (CKP) who have done all the heavy lifting in that department. I think I might of put a lot of pressure on myself with Edinburgh in they early years of doing comedy where as now I feel more relaxed about the whole thing.
What sets your show apart from others at the Fringe?
Well nobody really knows me so there is already the sense of "who is this unknown? lets go check him out" im hoping for lots of those types of people to come. It's 21:30pm every day so I'm hoping to give the show an Edinburgh but more importantly a Comedy Club type feel as I think the energy and vibe you get in club on the weekend is unbeatable.
Who would you recommend comes to see you?
I would say anyone who likes comedians to talk about relatively current things and not hold back especially with all the madness that's gone on in the country the past 3 months or so from terrorist Attack to whatever u wanna call this election.
Are there any other shows you're hoping to catch at the festival?
Not too sure yet, haven't looked at who's coming from the states but I will no doubt check them out as more and more Americans are coming over to do the fringe which is a great thing.
