The Royal Shakespeare Company is currently presenting Antony and Cleopatra at the Swan Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon, UK. The historical tragedy is running in repertory as part of the
Complete Works Festival through October 14th. Directed by Gregory Doran, the production features Patrick Stewart (The Caretaker, The Tempest, "Star Trek") as Mark Antony and Harriet Walter, a veteran RSC actress, as Cleopatra. "A tempestuous love affair struggles to survive as power politics and the demands of Ancient Rome and Egypt tear these two great leaders apart," state RSC notes.
