Nigel Planer, Myra Sands and More Join West End's CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY

As reported by the Daily Mail, Nigel Planer and Myra Sands will play Grandpa Joe and Grandma Georgina in the West End's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, joining leading man Douglas Hodge as Willy Wonka. Previews begin May 18 at Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, leading up to a June 25 opening. The show will run through November 30, 2013.

Jack Shalloo and Alex Clatworthy take on the roles of Charlie's parents. Paul J. Medford will play Mr. Beauregarde, Violet's father, and Jasna Ivir will take the stage as Mrs. Gloop, Augustus' mother.

This world premiere musical is produced by Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures, Neal Street Productions and Kevin McCormick.
