Broadway veterans Kate Shindle (Wonderland, Legally Blonde), Bradley Dean (Evita, A Little Night Music), Matt DeAngelis (Hair) & LaQuet Sharnell (Lysistrata Jones, Memphis) & more will take part in a private reading of Bobby Cronin and Crystal Skillman's romantic musical comedy THE CONCRETE JUNGLE. A 2011 commission by London's esteemed Arts Educational Schools (President: Andrew Lloyd Webber), THE CONCRETE JUNGLE is a contemporary twist on the Cyrano de Bergerac story set in NYC which follows aspiring poet/bartender Abby whose stagnant life rewrites itself in a single phone call. The cast: Marissa Rosen (My Big Gay Italian Wedding, Bedbugs) William Demaniow serves as the musical director. With music & lyrics by Bobby Cronin, and a book by Cronin & Crystal Skillman, and additional material by Brett Teresa, THE CONCRETE JUNGLE had a sold-out developmental run at Arts Ed in June 2012, and was recently recorded in London's Palace Theatre engineered by Nick Lloyd Webber & James D. Reid, produced by Burlington Productions. This International Studio Cast Highlights will be released in February with concerts in NYC and London. |
