The MLK Steering Committee will host the 29th annual DR. Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Celebration at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts on January 20, 2013.
The Steering Committee is pleased that local performing arts groups will also appear in Uihlein Hall as part of the 1:00 p.m. program. Programming will honor those students who will interpret this year's theme "Fair Play, Good Will and Justice." This year's theme came from many of Dr. King's speeches and writings, but most notably from a collection of his works in A Testament of Hope, The Essential Writings and Speeches of Martin Luther King, Jr.
