Today BroadwayWorld is thrilled to present not one, but two world premiere exclusives from the upcoming GLEE tribute to GREASE - oh-so amusingly titled "Glease" - both the risqué and rollicking "Look At Me, I'm Sandra Dee", performed by Becca Tobin (Kitty) and the gleek girls, as well as the mournful, balladic "Look At Me, I'm Sandra Dee (Reprise)" passionately performed by Melissa Benoist (Marley).
It's electrifyin'! GLEE returns with GREASE fever on November 8 as the Season Three musical is finally unveiled - none other than the beloved 50s-styled rock 'n' roller GREASE! The full tribute airs November 15 and the soundtrack is out November 6. Of course, since GLEE has already prominently featured a memorable rendition of "Summer Nights", as well as showcased the seriously sensational abilities of GREASE film star Olivia Newton-John in previous seasons, we can rest assured GLEE will do GREASE proud with its forthcoming epic tribute - just as it similarly did with the spectacular homages to THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, WEST SIDE STORY and WICKED (the latter two having also had exclusive world premieres held in this very column, as a matter of fact; byway of "Something's Coming" courtesy of Darren Criss and "For Good" in a duet by Chris Colfer and Lea Michele, respectively).
After having already checked out the initial "Look At Me, I'm Sandra Dee", performed in "Glease" by Kitty (Becca Tobin) as Rizzo, now sample GLEE S3 newcomer Melissa Benoist as Marley singing Sandy's sad but ultimately triumphant plea for understanding and acceptance in the form of the central dramatic musical moment of GREASE (both the stage show and film), the soaring "Look At Me, I'm Sandra Dee (Reprise)". Enjoy!
Also, be sure to check out today's other GLEE world premiere exclusive, "Look At Me, I'm Sandra Dee", performed by Becca Tobin and the gleek girls.
