A group of artists from various theaters and schools have joined forces to create Bay Ridge Voice, a new vocal studio featuring private lessons and intimate classes designed to help you become the singer you've always wanted to be. After an absence of more than a decade, Brooklyn-born musician Felix Gonzalez, returns to live theater on Saturday, October 27 at 8:00 p.m. in Bay Ridge Voice's inaugural concert. Hailed for his musical style, Felix has plied his musical talents since age 11. High school culminated in a Carnegie Hall performance with the All-City High School Music Program. From there, he was invited to join The Nuyorican Salsa Band (Nuyorican = New Yorkers of Puerto Rican descent) on alto saxophone and trumpet. He moved on to the renowned Latin jazz ensemble, Tropical Heat, returning to the clarinet, and adding tenor sax and trumpet. Vocally, Felix sang with numerous groups. As part of Bay Ridge Voice, Felix ventures into true solo territory.
The concert takes place on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. at The Bay Ridge Jewish Center, 405 81st Street, Brooklyn, NY. |
