The event will take place at New York City's famed Radio City Music Hall on March 4th.
Lily Sobhani, executive producer of the ball commented, “The Secret Policeman’s Ball has a long and hilariously off-color history of using comic genius to fight for free speech and human rights around the world. Radio City Music Hall, with a capacity crowd of 6,000, is expected to be completely sold out for the event which marks the organization's 50th anniversary. Tickets will go on sale later this month and organizers are hoping to find a TV network to broadcast the festivities live.
Suzanne Nossel, Amnesty International USA’s new executive director explained, “We are thrilled that some of the most creative political humorists of our time will perform... on March 4, those of us who can make fun of our government and walk away in safety will dedicate the program to those who cannot.”
