This weeks theme is "Not Quite On Broadway." I've selected five clips from shows that haven't quite made it to Broadway (yet)...
Craig Says: Anthony Warlow - to me - is perfection. I discovered him for myself on one of the many Jekyll and Hyde CDs and instantly bought everything he had and has recorded. In 2011, he took on the iconic role of Dr Zhivago "down under" and here is a video of rehearsals.

Craig Says: My friends Michael Weiner and Alan Zachary are talented. I don't just say that because we're friends - but because it's simply a fact. With many Disney song credits to their name and a full blown production performed on Disney's Cruise Line ("Twice Charmed") and several other things under their belt - they are bringing the musical version of Second Hand Lions to the stage with Rupert Holmes writing the book. Here's Megan Hilty (Wicked, 9 to 5 and the upcoming NBC show, SMASH) performing one of the songs from that show...

Craig Says: I'm a huge H.G Wells fan. And I loved the movie "Time After Time." This twist on H.G. Well's story has a very clever premise. Several years ago I heard a few songs at an event and was excited to learn it was going to be turned into a musical. Featuring Book and lyrics by Stephen Cole and music by Jeffrey Saver, here's a promo spot from the Point Park University Conservatory Theatre Company's world premiere.

Turn of the Century: Behind the Scenes
Craig Says: Here's a clip from the recent production of "Enter Laughing" which played the Bay Street Theatre (after having a run at the York). Based on the early life of comedian Carl Reiner and the hit play by Joseph Stein, "Enter Laughing" tells the hilarious story of a stage-struck, woman-struck teenager who blunders his way into manhood via showbiz--the perfect musical comedy for anyone who ever had a show biz dream, a nagging Mother, a fascination with the opposite sex, a song in their heart or a laugh in their soul. Score by Stan Daniels (TAXI), book by Joseph Stein (FIDDLER ON THE ROOF).
