12 Peers Theatre Announces the Premiere of 2 One Act Plays: TALK ABOUT THE PASSION & SUSTENANCE

12 Peers Theater is very proud to announce a pair of Pittsburgh Premiere one act plays. Talk About The Passion, written by UK Playwright Graham Farrow, presents the perils of a society fascinated by serial killers and fame. Sustenance, written by James Roday, Red Dog Squadron Co-Artistic Director, and Shawn Spencer on USA's Psych, is an East Coast Premiere also centered on serial killers, with a few zombies added for good measure. The two plays present two drastically different views of a morbidly fascinating and sometimes humorous topic.

On March 8, 2013 there will be a pre-show reception featuring Pittsburgh band, Silencio starting at 6:30pm. On March 9, 2013 there will be a post-show talk back session with Dana Ashbrook (Twin Peaks, The Kill Point), who originated the role of Very Best Buddy in the World Premiere production of sustenance.

Talk About The Passion is the story of Jason Carroway, a desperate young father who arranges a meeting with an editor at a London publishing house, Evelyn Ayles. While Carroway exorcises the ghosts of the death of his child and searches for an answer to all the moral decay that threatens to overwhelm him, Evelyn reveals her own ugly, secretive past. It is a past which has direct consequences for Carroway and will lead to him making life-changing decisions to avenge his son.

Talk about the Passion is an age-old morality tale about the search for revenge and redemption in a society where fame, money and personal choice are the new Gods.

Is the boogeyman real? How well do you really know your friends? What if your friend
was a serial killer? All of these questions will be answered in sustenance, a story of three

best friends who are fighting for the truth and struggling to keep their own secrets. What is
revealed throws these friends into a tailspin that includes a nosy neighbor, a lesbian trying
to fight for her lady love, an actress who is desperately trying to find a job, and, of course, a
demon of all trades. Going from laugh out loud funny to scary apocalyptic and even downright
absurd, sustenance makes you look at yourself and your relationships in a creepy new light.
