Ann Hampton Callaway will be the headliner at the Action Wellness 30th Anniversary Celebration on Friday, October 21st, 6 PM - 10 PM at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts Samuel M.V. Hamilton Building in Philadelphia. Supporters and Broadway aficionados will gather in the museum's modern art galleries in recognition of the incredible achievements and promising future of Action Wellness, formerly known as ActionAIDS.

Callaway is one of the leading champions of the Great American Songbook and was voted "Performer of the Year" by BroadwayWorld.com. Her unique singing style blends jazz and traditional pop, making her a mainstay in concert halls, theaters and jazz clubs, as well as in the studio, on TV and in film. She is best known for her Tony-nominated performance in the hit Broadway musical "Swing" and for writing and singing the theme song to the hit TV series "The Nanny". Callaway is a Platinum Award winning writer whose songs are featured on seven of Barbra Streisand's recent albums.

Callaway devotes much of her time to philanthropic causes. She sang with dozens of other Broadway stars at this past Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia to benefit the victims of the Pulse Club shooting in Orlando.

The Action Wellness 30th Anniversary Celebration on Friday, October 21st will include a cocktail reception, silent auction, seated dinner by Starr Catering Group and a presentation of Action Wellness annual Friends for Life awards. "Celebrating our past, embracing our future" is the night's theme. Philadelphia 6ABC meteorologist Adam Joseph, one of the city's most popular news personalities and an out and proud gay father, will emcee the event.
