She made her Broadway debut on May 13, 1973 in Cyrano alongside Christopher Plummer at the Palace Theatre. Since then, she has gone on to play some of Broadway's most iconic characters. Producers Sonia Friedman, Scott Landis and David Babani announced today that Emmy Award nominee Lea Michele, Tony and Olivier Award nominee Ramin Karimloo, 2022 Tony & Drama Desk Award nominee and Chita Rivera Award winner Jared Grimes and four-time Tony Award nominee Tovah Feldshuh have extended their critically acclaimed, record-breaking run in Broadway’s FUNNY GIRL through Sunday, September 3, 2023, when FUNNY GIRL will play its final performance at the August Wilson Theatre (245 West 52nd Street).

Funny Girl hosted a cast album signing at the August Wilson Theater with cast members Lea Michele, Ramin Karimloo, Tovah Feldshuh, and Jared Grimes on Friday, January 20th. Check out video footage from the event here!

Julie Benko appeared on CBS Mornings to discuss her 'big break' in Funny Girl on Broadway Barbra Streisand's 'shadow,' and recent backstage rumors regarding the show's casting. The video also features performance footage of Benko performing 'I'm the Greatest Star' and rehearsal footage of a new version of 'People' that has been added into the show.

This afternoon, FUNNY GIRL on Broadway shared a new promo video of Lea Michele in rehearsal, singing up a storm as she prepares to join the musical as Fanny Brice.

Lea Michele took to Instagram to share a short clip of her in rehearsals for Funny Girl. The short clip features Michele tap dancing at the end of a musical number in the show. Michele is slated to begin performances alongside Tovah Feldshuh who will take over for Jane Lynch in the role of Rosie Brice. Watch the video clip of Michele in rehearsals!

Four time Academy Award-nominated actor and director Marsha Mason co-directs and stars in Hartford Stage's forthcoming production of Neil Simon's classic comedy Lost in Yonkers. The production, which is co-directed by Hartford Stage Artistic Producer Rachel Alderman, runs April 7 through May 1, 2022.

We then close out the show at the opening night of director Des McAnuff's revival of the classic Frank Loesser musical Guys and Dolls. Des said, 'I wanted to go back to Damon Runyon's time. He wrote the Broadway stories between '29 and '37 so, we set it very loosely in '35, it's a mythic landscape anyway, and I asked Jo Loesser about this idea and she thought Frank would like it, so that was good enough for me.'

A laugh-filled evening featuring songs from the Richard Rodgers Award winning musical by Douglas J. Cohen, based on the novel by William Goldman (The Princess Bride).
