In BAD WITH MONEY he charts his sometimes hilarious, sometimes harrowing struggle to overcome his problem-or get rich trying. Written and performed by Ben Rimalower and directed by Aaron Mark, BAD WITH MONEY premieres at The Duplex (61 Christopher Street at Seventh Avenue) through November 6.

Everything old is new again--and vice versa-at PAST IS PRESENT, up-and-coming lyricist SARAH REBELL's Metropolitan Room debut, which took place on March 24, 2014. Broadway's Terri White will perform "From Blues To Broadway" at the Arthur Newman Theater in the Joslyn Center on Sunday, September 1, 2013 at 2 PM. Considered 'a living legend' in the New York music world, known for her show-stopping, scene-stealing performances, Terri toured as a toddler with her families song and dance act - her specialty was "Me And My Shadow" with her father. As a young lady she headlined at NYC cabaret rooms like 88's, Rose's Turn, and The Duplex. In 1978, her run as understudy to Nell Carter in Ain't Misbehavin' resulted in her going on for an unheard of 112 performances. She later replaced Nell in the 1988 revival but not before her big break playing, strangely enough, octogenarian Joice Heth in the original 1980 production of Barnum. Other shows include: Showboat, Nunsense I & II, Damn Yankees, Bubbling Brown Sugar, Little Shop Of Horrors, and Stepping Out at Radio City with close friend Liza Minnelli and many more, garnering numerous awards and nominations along the way.

This week's featured composer is the one-and-only Joey Contreras! We are excited to share this video of his song Ready from our CEC concert at NYMF sung by the incredible quartet Lilli Cooper (Wicked), Eric Michael Krop (Godspell), Maddy Trumble (Mary Poppins) and Nic Rouleau (Book of Mormon).

Amid the chaos of his young life, Ben found comfort-like so many gay boys before him and after-in musical theater, and specifically in the transportive voice of Broadway star Patti LuPone. COMMENTARY, the latest feature film by writer/director Aaron Mark (Patti Issues), which features an ensemble of Broadway veterans, will be screened Saturday, October 20th at 4:15 PM at the Producers Club (358 West 44th St. between 8th and 9th) as part of the third annual NYC Independent Film Festival. Shira Averbuch was born in Rochester, NY, but split her time growing up between Washington D.C and Israel. She served as a singer in the Israeli Army singing for troops and families living in war zones. In NYC she has been part of various productions in landmark venues such as Don't Tell Mama, The Duplex Theater, Theater Row Studio Theater and City Winery.

Josephine Spada is A new Graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts where she studied at CAP21! Josephine has always been encouraged by her supportive family and friends to follow this crazy dream of hers and it is mainly due to their unconditional support that she is here tonight! Right after her showcase at CAP21, Josephine has been performing in concerts all around this amazing city in venues such as Joe's Pub, Ars Nova, Rockwood Music Hall and The Duplex!
