Songwriting team Will Reynolds and Eric Price, winners of the Fred Ebb Award for Musical Theatre Writing, have released of a music video for their song “Getting Closer” from their forthcoming musical Radioactive, performed by Hannah Corneau (Wicked).

Today we rewind with LoveMusik, a musical which ran on Broadway for just over a month in 2007. LoveMusik is a musical written by Alfred Uhry, using a selection of music by Kurt Weill. The story explores the romance and lives of Kurt Weill and Lotte Lenya, based on Speak Low (When You Speak Love): The Letters of Kurt Weill and Lotte Lenya. Uhry and Prince worked on LoveMusik for four years to develop it into a stage work. The story spans over 25 years, from the first meeting of Lenya and Weill as struggling young artists, to their popularity in Europe and America, to Weill's death from a heart attack at age 50. The Broadway production ran at the Biltmore Theatre (now the Samuel J. Friedman), starring Michael Cerveris and Donna Murphy.

Cameron Mackintosh's spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA is currently playing at San Francisco's Orpheum Theatre, where it will remain through October 4. Jacob Keith Watson recently made the move from Arkansas to New York.  In 2012, Jacob won the Lotte Lenya Competition for singing actors.  This past February, Jacob toured Germany performing a Golden Age Broadway concert and in October, he will be performing alongside Broadway stars at Symphony Space in Kurt Weill on Broadway.

Nathan Lucrezio is a singer/songwriter, up and coming recording artist, and currently performing in the Broadway Production of Rogers and Hammerstein's CINDERELLA as the Woodland Creature/Ensemble.
