For her 4th CD release, vocalist/violinist Calabria Foti wanted to do an album like her vocal heroes Frank Sinatra, Peggy Lee, Judy Garland, and Nat “King” Cole did back in the day; that is, with a big orchestra and legendary arrangers on the podium in an iconic Hollywood recording studio. Following a critically acclaimed world premiere opening September 12th at Burbank, California's Grove Theatre Center, Welcome to My World starring Sami Staitman has been extended through October 4th at the Grove Theatre in Burbank, CA. BroadwayWorld TV's own Michael Sterling was on hand for the opening to talk to the young Ms. Staitman; close friend and Disney Channel series star Corey Fogelmanis (Girl Meets World); and the show's Grammy Nominated Producer/Director/Writer/Composer Bruce Kimmel. The first ever one-girl musical written for and about a fourteen-year-old, has also just completed recording sessions for the Kritzerland Records release of the show which will feature all 14 songs from the score, plus a bonus track of 'Everything is Going to be Alright' recorded by Fogelmanis who, during opening weekend, was on hand for a private Meet & Greet with fans who supported the production.

It's the 20th anniversary of Broadway's tender and funny, smart and sexy Victor/ Victoria and the Ogunquit Playhouse is celebrating by mounting a full-scale glamorous production of the musical comedy, June 24 to July 18, complete with the original Broadway and touring sets designed by Robin Wagner and costumes by Willa Kim.  Check out a first look at highlights below!

Urban Stages Founding Artistic Director Frances Hill and producer Peter Napolitano present the World Premiere of Character Man as part of its 30th Anniversary season. Jim Brochu's new musical memoir just opened Off-Broadway at Urban Stages Theatre (259 West 30th Street) Wednesday March 5th. This limited run, in previews now, will continue through March 30th only. Robert Bartley directs, with musical direction by Carl Haan. Character Man will have scenic & video design by Patrick Brennan, lighting design by Meghan Santelli and sound design by Sean Hagerty. Norm Lewis makes his eagerly anticipated solo debut at American Songbook on Saturday night at 8:30pm. The show is SOLD OUT, and has been for weeks, and he has been in what he calls 'training' for the last few months. His musical director is Joseph Joubert (Motown, The Color Purple, Violet, Leap of Faith) and the evening is directed by Richard Jay-Alexander., for whom Norm did 'Javert' along with Hugh Panaro as 'Valjean' in last summer's blockbuster success of LES MISERABLES at The Muny in St. Louis.

It was announced on Friady that the new Broadway production of JEKYLL & HYDE -starring Constantine Maroulis and Deborah Cox - will play the final performance of its limited Broadway engagement on Sunday, May 12, 2013, after 15 previews and 30 regular performances at the Marquis Theatre. Direct from a 25-week national tour which launched in October 2012, JEKYLL & HYDE began previews on Broadway Friday, April 5, 2013 and opened on Thursday, April 18, 2013. The production was originally scheduled to run through June.
