STAGE TUBE: Idina Menzel Invites You to Cincinnati Show!

A three-show series as the Cincinnati Pops 2010 season opener at Music Hall doesn't seem to be enough for Cincinnatians. Idina Menzel is returning Saturday, June 25th to open another Cincinnati Pops season, only this time it's the summer concert season at the Riverbend Music Center.

Tony Award winning performer Idina Menzel, best known for her roles in Wicked, Rent and Glee, has just added a new date to her tour and will be performing in concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London on October 6, Baz Bamigboye has just reported in the UK Daily Mail. Ticket sales officially launch Saturday, June 18. This engagement preceeds a new US tour the songstress is launching in Philadelphia in November, as BroadwayWorld previously reported. Menzel will be touring the country in concert with local symphonies.

Click below for the WORLD PREMIERE of the performance of 'For Good' from WICKED by Stephen Schwartz, as performed by Lea Michele and Chris Colfer in the Season Two finale of Fox's GLEE, premiering Tuesday at 8 PM. On the stage of the Gershwin Theater where WICKED plays eight times a week, Rachel and Kurt form a diva mutual-appreciation-society befitting of Elphaba and G(a)linda and share their affection and love for each other as performers - as well as people. Of special note to Broadway babies: both of the original Broadway witches in WICKED who first sang 'For Good' have made memorable appearances on GLEE in the last two seasons, with Idina Menzel essaying the role of Rachel Berry's mother, Shelby, and Kristin Chenoweth winning over fans with her award-nominated stint as boozy April Rhodes. Continuing what was begun with Michele and Colfer‘s dueling versions of 'Defying Gravity' last season, WICKED's unforgettable Act One Finale, here is the end of Act Two - 'For Good'; as is oh-so befitting of the close of Season Two of GLEE.

During the meeting, she revealed that she heads into the studio next week to begin work on a new album that will feature mostly original music, but also some standards to be recorded with a full orchestra. The Give a Damn Campaign (www.wegiveadamn.org), a project of Cyndi Lauper's True Colors Fund, has released its newest public service announcement focusing on hate crimes based on sexual orientation and gender identity. Ricky Martin, Elton John, Idina Menzel, Rachael Harris and Wanda Sykes speak out about the need to bring an end to these senseless acts of violence and intimidation. The PSA saw its world premiere last night on CNN's Larry King Live during an episode featuring the topic of anti-gay bullying.
