Rehearsals for the newly reimagined production of Side Show at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, running June 14 to July 13, 2014, kicked off today, with new faces joining the cast previously assembled at the La Jolla Playhouse. Side Show, based on the true life story of conjoined twins Daisy and Violet Hilton, is set to be revived at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. in performances running from June 14 - July 13, 2014. Side Show originally opened on Broadway in 1997, starring Alice Ripley and Emily Skinner as the Hilton twins. Telling the story of their rise from circus attractions to famous vaudeville performers during the Great Depression, Side Show brings us the sisters' lifelong search for fortune, romance, and a spot on the stage.

Now in its 16th season, Lincoln Center's acclaimed series American Songbook continues to expand its scope celebrating the best in American singing and songwriting. Performances of the national tour of FLASHDANCE - THE MUSICAL, the stage adaptation of the 1983 hit film that defined a generation, began January 1st. FLASHDANCE is currently on a national tour to more than 25 cities before heading to Broadway. At a recent press event, Mayor Luke Ravenstahl officially announced January 1st as FLASHDANCE day. Following the Pittsburgh engagement, FLASHDANCE will embark on a national tour to more than 25 cities in the next seven months with additional bookings to be announced soon. What do you get when you mix America's favorite TV show with one of the biggest hits on Broadway? Last night's Rock of Ages performance on America's Got Talent! Constantine Maroulis, Emily Padgett and ensemble members set the stage on fire with legendary Rock God Dee Schneider. The audience got a sneak peek of Rock of Ages with show favorites 'I Wanna Rock' by Twisted Sister and 'Don't Stop Believing' by Journey. Missed last night's telecast? Click below for the clip!

On Monday, April 26 and Tuesday, April 27, BC/EFA hosted the 24th ANNUAL EASTER BONNET COMPETITION. This year, the competition raised an impressive $3,265,700 by the 64 participating Broadway, Off-Broadway, and National Tour companies benefiting Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS. Since it began in 1987, the 23 editions of the EASTER BONNET COMPETITION have raised over $42 million for BC/EFA. In a show of semi-permanent appreciation, ROCK OF AGES honored of one of its most dedicated fans and winner of its holiday 'Deck the Halls Extreme Rock' contest, Gavin Knox, this month. For the Christmas challenge, the production invited fans to submit a performance video of a holiday carol, sung in the rockin' style of the hit show. The winner was selected by ROCK OF AGES cast members, including Constantine Maroulis, Kerry Butler, and James Carpinello. The prize package included a pair of tickets to the performance, a backstage tour, a curtain call ovation, dinner for two at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square, a copy of the original cast recording, and a Temptu tattoo, applied by the show's make-up artist, worn by the cast members on stage each night.

The stars of Broadway's ROCK OF AGES have banded together to raise funds for World Vision, a humanitarian fund that has been in Haiti for 30 years in an effort to contribute to the country's relief. Stars Kerry Butler, Lauren Molina and James Carpinello introduce the fundraiser in the video below. The production will be auctioning off items, the first of which is a backstage tour with Butler.
