The hour-long special is filmed at the restored, historic landmark Sahara Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, home to many iconic performers including Sammy Davis Jr., Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Peter Lawford and Lena Horne. Griffin's unapologetic storytelling canvasses his 30-plus year comedy career and offers an intimate glimpse into the 10th year of his nightly Las Vegas residency, The Eddie Griffin Experience. Through his quick wit and a fiery rhetoric, Griffin flexes his perspective on a number of personal family situations and real-world issues while teaching sociopolitical and hypothetical history lessons along the way.

The Professional Dancers Society (PDS) held its Annual Gypsy Awards Luncheon Sunday, April 23rd at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA in honor of Choreographer Mandy Moore (La La Land, So You Think You Can Dance, Dancing with the Stars), veteran TV Producer Lee Hale (Dean Martin Variety Series) choreographers Karen Willes and Natalie Willes; and legendary performer Carol Channing who was not able to attend, but who sent a letter to be read by her dear friend, the iconic Lily Tomlin.  In her own inimitable style, Ms. Tomlin spoke fondly of Ms. Channing and recalled their first meeting "...in a dark alley in Chicago, it was the backstage door to the Shubert Theater, where Carol was appearing in 'Hello Dolly!.'  BWW TV's own Michael Sterling was there to talk to the stars.

As part of their preparations, they are in the middle of a KickStarter campaign, and creators Michael Paul Smith and Gillian Pensavalle are thanking their supporters in a pretty unusual way. They are making videos for KickStarter contributors that include classic jokes from a 70-year-old joke book edited by Eddie Cantor. Now where else are you going to get that kind of 'Thank You?' And let's be honest, Gillian's reactions are just as funny as the jokes themselves.

The six member cast starred musical theatre stars Julie Garnye and Juliana Hansen, Broadway's Melody Hollis and Kristofer McNeely, and musical theatre star Jeffrey Christopher Todd, with Special Guest... Broadway, film, TV, concert and recording star Lainie Kazan. Christy Crowel served as the evening's Musical Director, with Shelly Markham serving as Musical Director for Lainie Kazan. Bruce Kimmel conceived, produced and directed Take Me Along, with Adryan Russ on board as Associate Producer.
