New York City Center brings the Lerner and Loewe classic, Brigadoon, out of the Highlands mist for the musical's 70th anniversary in a star-studded concert production that unites celebrated talents from the worlds of stage and screen.

The Winter's Tale takes us on a great arc of emotion and experience, capturing the play's themes of death and regeneration, hostility and reconciliation (The New York Times) and dazzles with its visual drama, choreography (The Washington Post). A co-production with The Royal Ballet (UK), Christopher Wheeldon'sThe Winter's Tale opens the 2017/18 season on November 10.

On this day in 2015. the stage adaptation of the classic film An American in Paris danced its way onto Broadway.

The critically acclaimed and multi award-winning new musical An American in Paris had its official London premiere earlier this week, at the beautifully restored Dominion Theatre. Christopher Wheeldon's stunning reinvention of the Oscar-winning film (that starred Gene Kelly and Leslie Caron) features the sublime music and lyrics of George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin and a new book by Craig Lucas. Read our review here

Just last week, the Tony Award winning hit musical, An American in Paris teamed up with The School at Steps to offer a free dance class for kids ages 8 to 12. The class allowed the kids to make their 'Broadway debuts' on stage at the Palace Theatre.

The August 4, 2016 show of Broadway in Bryant Park included a performance by the Broadway cast of An American in Paris. Cast members for the event included Dimitri Kleioris, Leanne Cope, Jill Paice, Brandon Uranowitz, Derek Hanson, Attila Joey Csiki, Kyle Brown, Megan Dickinson, Kurt Froman, Derek Hanson, Marina Lazzaretto, Cory Lingner, Nathan Madden, Charlotte O'Dowd, Candy Olsen, Kristin Piro, Sam Rogers, Shannon Rugani, Bradley Schlagheck, Jeffrey C. Sousa, Tory Trowbridge and Scott Willis performing the numbers 'Shall We Dance,' 'For You, For Me, For Evermore,' 'I'll Build a Stairway to Paradise,' and 'S Wonderful.'

STARS IN THE ALLEY, presented by United Airlines, took place on Friday June 3rd in Shubert Alley. Hosted by Tony nominee Sean Hayes and Mo Rocca, Broadway's best once again turned out for the annual performance - including AN AMERICAN IN PARIS' Garen Schribner, Brandon Uranowitz and Max von Essen, who performed 'S'Wonderful.'

AN AMERICAN IN PARIS director/choreographer Christopher Wheeldon was featured on Sunday night's 60 MINUTES, talking about how he's breaking new ground in dance and reinvigorating ballet by making it sensual, athletic and edgy. Wheeldon won a Tony for his choreography for PARIS, which combines musical theater dance with ballet moves. He also directed it - a first for him that caused some jitters. 'They probably couldn't see the sweat kind of trickling down the back of my neck,' he tells Stahl.

The Australian Ballet's contemporary triple bill Vitesse is ballet at full voltage. Three stripped-back abstract works by three of the world's leading choreographers show the men and women of the Company at their strongest and fastest, shaking the artform to its foundations. Vitesse runs at Arts Centre Melbourne from11-21 March, and Sydney Opera House from 26 April-16 May.
