New Musicals Inc. aired 51 hours of live streamcast footage of musical theatre readings, concerts, creative sessions, as well as interviews with writers and producers, all part of the most recent Stages Musical Theatre Festival. The Festival ran for fifteen years in Chicago before New Musicals Inc. brought it to the West Coast about a decade ago.

Last month, composer Georgia Stitt along with violinist Victoria Paterson and Kate Baldwin reunited at SubCulture to perform 'Alphabet City Cycle.' Originally recorded in 2009, the song cycle with lyrics by Marcy Heisler consists of five songs about women alone in New York City.

Goodspeed Musicals is re-imagining favorite Tin Pan Alley tunes with the new-fashioned musical comedy Hello! My Baby. The show from Goodspeed's 2011 Festival of New Artists will run through 27, 2011 at The Norma Terris Theatre in Chester, Conn., Goodspeed's home for developing new works. The 2010 Olivier Awards will take place on 21 March 2010 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, with Spring Awakening, Enron, Jerusalem and A Little Night Music among the standouts of the season with the most nominations. The Laurence Olivier Awards were established in 1976 as The Society of West End Theatre Awards, and Lord Olivier agreed to have his name associated with them in 1984. The Awards are run by The Society of London Theatre but are adjudicated by panels that are equally made up of members of the theatregoing public and experts chosen for their knowledge and professional experience.
