The Hennepin Theatre Trust presents the 2012/2013 Broadway Season, which features five Minnesota debuts: The Book of Mormon, the multi-Tony Award winning musical blockbuster from the creators of "South Park;" War Horse; Catch Me If You Can; Priscilla Queen of the Desert; and Disney's Beauty and the Beast. Also featured in the season is Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's Mary Poppins, Rock of Ages, Monty Python's Spamalot, and Shear Madness. Aida, a co-production in partnership with Theater Latte Da and directed by the acclaimed Peter Rothstein, is also available.

The West End production of LES MISERABLES welcomed some new cast members last month, including Broadway veteran Sierra Boggess as 'Fantine', as well as 'Over the Rainbow' winner Danielle Hope as 'Eponine.' Additional current cast members include: Geronimo Rauch, Tam Mutu, Cameron Blakely, Linzi Hateley, Samantha Dorsey, Liam Tamne, and Craig Mather. Christmas can't get here fast enough, because that's when Les Miserables hits the big screen and to tide us over ... they've just released a new TV spot for the film!

Walnut Street Theatre opens its landmark 204th season with the American premiere of Erich Segal's LOVE STORY, the musical. With direction and musical staging by Annabel Bolton, this emotionally charged production is a delicate story of life and love and is currening runningns through October 21st on the WST Mainstage. Based on Victor Hugo's classic novel, 'Les Misérables' is an epic and uplifting story about the survival of the human spirit. The magnificent score of 'Les Misérables' includes the classic songs 'I Dreamed a Dream,' 'On My Own,' 'Stars,' 'Bring Him Home,' 'Do You Hear The People Sing?,' 'One Day More,' 'Empty Chairs at Empty Tables,' 'Master of The House' and many more. Cameron Mackintosh's new production of Boublil and Schönberg's 'Les Misérables' has music by Claude-Michel Schönberg, lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer from the original French text by Alain Boublil and Jean-Marc Natel and additional material by James Fenton. The production is directed by Laurence Connor and James Powell, designed by Matt Kinley inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo with costumes by Andreane Neofitou and additional costumes by Christine Rowlands, lighting by Paule Constable and sound by Mick Potter.

Broadway and musical theatre performers Sean Smith, David Burnham, Kim Huber, Christina Saffran Ashford, Damon Kirsche, David Engel, Jennifer Shelton, Emma Ashford, Matthew Ashford, Ali B. ELF is the hilarious tale of Buddy, a young orphan who mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. Buddy is raised unaware that he is actually a human, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa's permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. Faced with the harsh reality that his father is on the naughty list and his step-brother doesn't even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas. The story of the controversial 'Mad Monk,' Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin is now the subject of the new rock musical Brother Russia, which is making its world premiere at the Tony Award-winning Signature Theatre. The new musical features Music by Dana Rowe and Book and Lyrics by John Dempsey - the award-winning creators behind The Fix (1998) and The Witches of Eastwick (2007). Nick Pitera, known for his one man Youtube medleys, has released a new video that is a medley of hits from Andrew Lloyd Webber's PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. 'I am such a huge Phantom fan. Andrew Lloyd Webber is a genius! This is my attempt at paying tribute to such a great piece of musical history!' Pitera wrote.

Cameron Mackintosh announced on stage at the Manchester Palace at the end of last evening's performance of Oliver! (in which Barks is currently playing Nancy) that she is set to play Eponine in the film version of Les Miserables - the role she played at the 25th anniversary concert and on stage in London. UK audiences may be familiar with Barks' work, but for the rest of us who are wondering what Barks might bring to the role, check out a compilation of her best performances below!

Argentinian star Gerónimo Rauch, who is currently playing Jean Valjean at BTM in the Spanish production of Les Misérables in Barcelona, will repeat the role in the London production starting June 18th.
