The West End revival of MISS SAIGON closed yesterday, February 27th, after a nearly two-year run. The show's creators, Cameron Mackintosh, Alain Boublil, and Claude-Michel Schonberg, took to the stage at the final curtain yesterday to speak about the production's success. Mackintosh told fans that the 25th Anniversary production of MISS SAIGON was filmed, and he said that because it was so successful, he believes that the musical will find itself in a big screen adaptation very soon!

Following its annual season guessing game, Paper Mill Playhouse announced today the lineup for its 2016-2017 season, featuring four musicals, one play and a highly anticipated US premiere. The longest-running show in Broadway history, the Cameron Mackintosh/The Really Useful Group production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera, directed by Harold Prince, reached another unprecedented milestone when it celebrated its Twenty-Eighth Anniversary last night, Tuesday, January 26, 2016. This just in! Original cast member Will Swenson will return to the role of Javert in Cameron Mackintosh's Broadway production of LES MISERABLES for a limited time beginning this Wednesday,November 18, stepping in for Earl Carpenter as he recovers from a neck injury (cervical vertebrae impingement). Carpenter will undergo an MRI this week to determine a treatment plan and timetable for recovery.

)BroadwayWorld TV's Los Angeles Producer and on-air Host Michael Sterling was on the red carpet getting up close and personal with the U.S. Touring Cast of Cameron Mackintosh's new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of The Opera when they presented a one-night-only cabaret concert July 20, 2015 at the historic El Portal Theater in the NoHo Arts District of North Hollywood. The event, titled Oscar Unmasked, featured over 40 Academy Award-winning songs, and raised $10,000 for The Actors Fund and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

As previously announced, Beverley Knight is to star in Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical Cats to play the role of Grizabella.  Returning to the London Palladium from 23 October 2015, Lloyd Webber's acclaimed new production of Cats will run for a strictly limited 11 week season until 2 January 2016.   Check out the video below of Beverley Knight rehearsing and discussing her role as 'Grizabella.'

Signature Theatre is excited to announce the cast of The Fix directed by Signature Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer (Broadway's Gigi, Follies, Million Dollar Quartet). Featuring a book by John Dempseyand music by Dana P. Rowe (the creators of Brother Russia and The Witches of Eastwick), the show quickly became a favorite among Signature's artistic team during its U.S. premiere at the Theatre in 1998, cementing a longstanding relationship with Dempsey and Rowe. Running in the MAX Theatre August 11 - September 20,the inside-politics musical satire is the first production of Signature Theatre's 2015/2016 season.  Check out a sneak peek below!

He also wrote the lyrics for West Side Story and Gypsy. Lloyd Webber has composed 13 musicals, a song cycle, a set of variations, two film scores, and a Latin Requiem Mass. He has also gained a number of honours, including a knighthood in 1992, followed by a peerage from the British Government for services to Music, seven Tony Awards, three Grammy Awards, an Academy Award, fourteen Ivor Novello Awards, seven Olivier Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and the Kennedy Center Honors in 2006. Several of his songs, notably 'The Music of the Night', 'I Don't Know How to Love Him', 'Don't Cry for Me, Argentina' and 'You Must Love Me', 'Any Dream Will Do' and 'Memory' have been widely recorded and were hits outside of their parent musicals.

Cameron Mackintosh's acclaimed new production of Boublil & Schonberg's Les Miserables just welcomed several new cast members for its second year on Broadway last night, March 3 at The Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street). Joining the cast are Tony and Oliver Award nominee Gavin Lee (Mary Poppins) as Thenardier, Erika Henningsen as Fantine, Rachel Izen as Madame Thenardier,Brennyn Lark as Eponine, Chris McCarrell as Marius and Wallace Smith as Enjolras. Tony Award nominee Ramin Karimloo will perform as Jean Valjean through the end of the summer; Will Swenson, as Javert, and Samantha Hill, as Cosette, will continue in their roles as well.
