The acclaimed off-Broadway production of Lysistrata Jones will transfer to Broadway's Walter Kerr Theatre this fall, with previews beginning November 12, 2011 and opening night scheduled December 14, 2011. Lysistrata Jones will star Patti Murin (Lysistrata Jones), Liz Mikel (Hetaira), Josh Segarra (Mick), Jason Tam (Xander), and Lindsay Nicole Chambers (Robin) with Alexander Aguilar (Uardo), Ato Blankson-Wood (Tyllus), Katie Boren (Lampito), Kat Nejat (Cleonice), LaQuet Sharnell (Mhyrinne), Teddy Toye (Harold) and Alex Wyse (Cinesius). Douglas Carter Beane's LYSISTRATA JONES will indeed head to Broadway in the fall, beginning previews at the Walter Kerr Theatre November 12, 2011 in anticipation of a December 14 opening. The production last played the basketball court of the Judson Memorial Church Gymnasium off-Broadway in Washington Square, opening on June 5. The production was presented by the Transport Group Theatre Company. The new musical features a book by Douglas Carter Beane, music and lyrics by Lewis Flinn and will be directed and choreographed by Dan Knechtges.

Transport Group Theatre Company, the winner of a special Drama Desk Award and two OBIE Awards, began previews for the New York premiere of Lysistrata Jones, a new musical with a book by Douglas Carter Beane, music and lyrics by Lewis Flinn, and directed and choreographed by Dan Knechtges on Sunday May 15 on the basketball court of the Judson Memorial Church Gymnasium. The show officially opens on Sunday, June 5.

Give it Up!, the new pop musical from Douglas Carter Beane (Xanadu - Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Book of a Musical; Tony Award nomination for Best Book of Musical, The Little Dog Laughed - Tony Award nomination for Best Play), with music and lyrics by Lewis Flinn, is currently playing the Dallas Theatre Center through February 14, 2010. After making its world premiere to raves in Dallas on January 22, production footage has been released! The musical reportedly has Broadway aspirations for the near future.
